Summary:
In a fun twist of the classic Little Red Riding Hood story, this short story deals with the Big Bad Wolf's son Little Bad Wolf. No one has see the Big Bad Wolf in a week since he went in search of food for Little Bad Wolf and Mother Wolf. Mother Wolf and Little Bad Wolf were alone and hungry so reluctantly Mother Wolf let Little Bad Wolf go into the forest for food but made him promise to not go by the road and talk to people. However, Little Bad Wolf did not listen to his mother and went to the road; there he met Little Red Riding Hood who was bringing food to her sickly grandmother. After talking about each other's situation and Little Bad Wolf figuring out where his father was, they agree that Little Bad Wolf would bring the food to Little Red Riding Hood's grandmother. When Little Bad Wolf took the food to Red's grandmother, he pretended to be her but quickly dropped the act when he realized his father was pretending the grandmother. The Big Bad Wolf was pretending to be the grandmother and was storing food for his family while the grandmother vacationed in Florida. Unfortunately for the Wolf family, they were not able to enjoy the food they stole before the police came with Little Red Riding Hood and arrested them. As punishment, Big Bad Wolf and Little Bad Wolf were required to give out food to their neighbors for community service as an alternative to going to jail. While Little Red Riding Hood was expecting punishment from her mother for talking to strangers once again.
This story should be in the classroom because it shows not to talk to strangers of all ages.
